Dear Polson Families:
We are looking forward to welcoming new and returning students and families to École Polson Park Public School for a fantastic school year ahead! We want to share some information and reminders for you to help support a smooth start to the year.
First Day Info:
• Tuesday, September 2, 2025 is a PA Day for educators. The first day of school for all students is Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
• Our school hours are 9:15 am - 3:35 pm. Yard supervision begins at 9:00 am. Please do not drop students off prior to 9:00 am!
• Educators and staff will be outside on Wednesday morning to welcome families and students to ensure that everyone finds their teacher and line-up/entrance.
Classroom Placement Information:
Classroom placements will be shared on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 in a welcome email from your child’s teacher. Teachers will share details about where to meet them on the first day. *If you do not receive this email by 2:30 pm on Tuesday, September 2, please call the school or email polso@limestone.on.ca
School Supplies:
• Students are provided with school supplies that they need such as pencils/pens, crayons, erasers, papers, and workbooks, etc.
• Please send your student to school with the following items:
✓ Backpack/school bag
✓ Indoor shoes
✓ 2 Nutrition break meals and snacks (nut-free, please)
✓ Water bottle
✓ Change of clothes
✓ Hat/sunscreen
• Please label these items and clothing items with student names so they can be returned if lost. If you need support with providing any of the above items, please contact us. We are happy to help!
Bus Transportation:
• If you qualify for bus transportation, and have not yet received information from TriBoard Transportation, please reach out to them directly at 613-354-1981 or https://triboard.ca/contact/
Office Hours & School Schedule:
• The main office will be open this week, Monday August 25th - Friday, August 29th, 8:30- 4:00pm. If you have any questions, please call the main office at 613-542-5926.

School Organization & Staff 2025-26
As always, school organization and staffing may change after school start-up. Please note that Ms. Smith will be starting her leave prior to September as she awaits the arrival of her baby. We wish her well and will update you on the grade 6 teacher for the year once the staffing process is completed. Polson School Advisory Council
Our first School Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10th, starting at 6:00pm. This meeting will be held at the school and virtually and will include elections for council members. All parents/guardians of École Polson Park Public School students are invited to attend. You can attend/participate in School Council meetings without holding an elected position, but we are so grateful to those parents who are able to support us as council members as well. More information about the roles and nomination process will be coming soon or feel free to reach out!
