What's Happening at Polson
Students are enjoying the beautiful September weather at Polson which was great for the start of fall activities. Running club got off to a great start with about 80 student athletes turning out for the first practice. Mr. Jacques’ class enjoyed the first field trip of the year with a day at the Fall Fair.
Next week, we look forward to the start of junior soccer to be scheduled at first recess on Tuesdays and Thursdays. An information meeting will be held on Tuesday. Students should check morning announcements for details. We will also be sharing information for students interested in participating in student council (Grades 4-6). Student participation in school activities benefit everyone! Thank you to our staff and parent volunteers for taking the time to organize and support these opportunities!

Curriculum Information; Human Development & Sexual Health
As part of LDSB's commitment to ongoing transparency and communication with families, please follow the link to Form 325-D on the LDSB website. It outlines the Human Development and Sexual Health curriculum expectations for Grades 1-8. Families can request to have their child or children exempted from instruction related to Human Development and Sexual Health expectations by completing and returning an exemption form for each child (Form 325-B) five school days before the start of instruction. Prior to instruction, your child's classroom teacher will inform parents/guardians when the expectations related to the Human Development and Sexual Health expectations in Strand D will be covered. For a more detailed overview of this process, please refer to Administrative Procedure 325: Exemption From Human Development and Sexual Health Instruction (listed under the Policies and Procedures section of the LDSB website), or contact the school.
LunchBox Hot Lunch Orders
The LunchBox website will be used for school lunch ordering again this year. It is very user friendly, and it should only take a couple of minutes to set up an account online. If you already have an account, please re-assign your child to the appropriate teacher when it is confirmed for the remainder of the school year. Hot lunch orders will continue to support student activities with a small portion of each sale coming back to our school.
