Food Sharing Project Documentary

Congrats to Polson students who were a part of the Food Share Project documentary film! Some of our staff and students were spotted on the "red carpet" at the screening of the film. Thank you also to Jay Candy for all her hard work in organizing and supporting the filming and this important program at our school!

Polson Fun Fair in Support of Playground Slide - June 11th

Have you noticed that one of our play structures is missing a slide?

It had to be removed after being damaged and everyone really misses it! But Parent Council has a plan.

This year's Fun Fair is all about raising money for a new slide. It's a lofty goal - we need $5,000 to get there and we cannot do it without your help!

Fun Fair is our chance to raise these funds, but it's only possible when we have enough volunteers to run the event properly. Last year we had more than 50 volunteers and this year we have 10!

If you can spare about an hour for a shift on June 11, please use the Fun Fair volunteer sign-up form to let us know.

Thank you for all you do for Polson. Our kids are dreaming of warm summer days playing outdoors and that includes an awesome new slide, so let's do our best to make it happen!

National AccessAbility Week 2026

LDSB is proud to join with Easter Seals and promote National Accessibility Week and the Red Shirt Day of Action.  This year’s National Accessibility Week takes place from June 1st – June 5th, with the Red Shirt Day of Action taking place on Wednesday, June 3rd.

National AccessAbility Week is celebrated each year starting on the last Sunday in May. Founded in 1988 as National Access Awareness Week and inspired by Rick Hansen’s Man In Motion World Tour, it is a time to recognize the contributions of people with disabilities and advance accessibility and inclusion in our communities, workplaces, schools, and public places.

Information and Resources from the Rick Hansen Foundation can be found at the link below:
