Polson Family Update: May 3, 2026
What’s Happening at Polson!
Our first full week in May is a busy one! Don’t forget that Monday is May the 4th Day and students are invited to express their Star Wars or "spacey" style. This week is Teacher Week. Thank you to all of our amazing educators at Polson for all you do in the classroom and beyond! This is also Mental Health Awareness week, and staff will highlight habits that that promote health and well-being.
Merci -Thank You Volunteers!
We are grateful to our volunteers who help out through the year to support wonderful activities and opportunities for our students including athletics, field trips, fundraising, and parent council and so much more! We hope you can join us for a small gathering to show our appreciation!
Go Panthers!
Good luck to our junior basketball players who are off to their divisional tournament and to all of our runners who are participating in the LCVI Road Race!
Polson Track & Field Day
Congratulations to all Grades 3 to 6 students who participated in our Polson Track & Field Day and to those top finishers who have qualified for the regional track and field meet! It was a beautiful day full of exciting running, jumping, climbing, and parachuting events for all! Special thanks to Mr. Ormiston for organizing this special day and to our staff and parent/caregiver volunteer coaches/station leaders! We also are grateful to Coach Boyce and Coach Valberg, and the student leaders from Calvin Park who helped us with our event. Merci to our parent council for the treats!
Polson @ Elementary Sports Festival
Congratulations to all athletes who represented Polson at the Elementary Sports Festival at LCVI last week! All athletes played hard and had fun!

Family Engagement & Climate Survey
The Limestone District School Board’s Family Engagement and Climate Survey is now live and we invite families to share their experiences with their student’s school and with the school board.
Your feedback helps Limestone understand what is working well and where we can improve, and supports welcoming, safe, and supportive school communities.
The survey is open from April 30 to May 11 and is available online. Paper copies are also available at your school’s administrative office.
Access the Family Engagement and Climate Survey online.
Participation is voluntary and anonymous. You may skip any questions you choose, and no identifying information is collected.
Thank you for sharing your voice and helping strengthen Limestone schools and school communities.
