Mme Pacheco is Retiring!

It is with mixed emotions that I share with you the news of my upcoming retirement at the end of this school year.  Although I am looking forward to travelling and spending some more time with my family, I will miss this beautiful school community and the staff, students, and families that make it so special. Thank you so much for your collaboration and support over these past four years at Polson!

I’m pleased to announce that Mme Sara Wellwood will be returning to Polson as the new principal next year and that Mme Tiiu will be staying on as vice-principal!

Class Building  & Student Moves 2026-27

Our educators put a great deal of thought into student class placements and take many factors into account including student strengths, areas of need, and peer groupings that will maximize learning when we build our class cohorts. We also value additional information that parents and caregivers may want to share about their child, but we ask that this should focus on aspects of your child’s learning profile rather than requests for a specific teacher.  Please be assured that all our teachers offer rich educational opportunities for students at Polson. We have worked hard to implement consistency in effective instructional practices at Polson.

Moving Schools or Switching Programs?

If your family is moving, and your child will be attending a new school in September, please contact the school as soon as possible so that we can remove  support a smooth transition for next year.

If you are considering a program move for your child from French Immersion to English, please reach out to our school team prior to the end of the year to consult with us about options and supports available that will help you make an informed decision. Please be aware that students may be in our catchment area for French Immersion but not for the regular program.

The survey is open from April 30 to May 11 and is available online. Paper copies are also available at your school’s administrative office.

Access the Family Engagement and Climate Survey online.
