2024 -25 EQAO Provincial Assessment Results

EQAO results were released this week, and Ecole Polson Park PS has a lot to celebrate. Our school has shown impressive growth over the last three years in reading, writing and math, outperforming provincial results this past year in all areas.  Our mathematics achievement results were a standout with 75% of grade 6 students and 89% of grade 3 students meeting or exceeding provincial standards, outperforming provincial results by over 20%.

While EQAO assessments are a snapshot of how our students are doing, it is an important reflection of our progress. We appreciate the hard work of our educators at all grade levels to strengthen instruction and improve student achievement in literacy and math at Polson.  Individual student results will be sent home this week.  Great job, Panthers!

Food Drive & Jingle Bell Walk, Run & Wheel

Thank you for supporting our non-perishable food Drive and Jingle Bell Walk, Run & Wheel event.  Special thanks to our parent council for providing the hot chocolate, oreos, and clementines for a special treat for our students.  We will continue to collect donations this week and will assemble baskets for delivery to families next week.  Please do not hesitate to reach out if your family would like to receive a holiday basket!

Mitten tree drive

Polson Warming Tree

Thank you to SAC for supplying new mitts, hats, and neck warmers for our students on our warming tree in the front foyer.  Many students have already accessed items during the cold weather days we have experienced.  If you would like to donate, we would appreciate donations of new mittens that are water resistant.
