POLSON'S OPEN HOUSE: Opening Our Doors, Building Community

IMG 1336

This past Thursday October 1st, 2026 saw a fantastic turnout (Hundreds!) for our annual Polson Park Open House. We were thrilled to see many families and caregivers being led around our school by their proud children. Thank you to our fabulous SAC members who, along with Principal Wellwood, warmly greeted everyone at the doorway. We are also grateful to our community partners The Food Sharing Project and Queen's University (Queen's Dance Club) for their enthusiastic presence.

Another important event also took place on Thursday October 1st: Polson's Terry Fox Run/Walk/Roll. All classrooms participated in their own way, moving their bodies for a great cause. Donations amounted to $1,475! Wow! Way to go, Polson community! And, a huge thank you to our fearless Terry Fox leader, Ms. Blommesteyn. Thank you to all who donated. (You aren't too late, if you haven't yet! Here is the link one more time: https://schools.terryfox.ca/131810)
